" Menorah " Mezuzah - 5" long. Includes Instructions on how to affix to your doorpost, with the Blessing which is recited when you place mezuzah to your doorpost. Copy of rolled parchment in Hebrew included.
Mezuzah in Hebrew means "doorpost." The Mezuzah case should hold a rolled parchment scroll inscribed with the Biblical passages Deut. 6:-9 and 11:13-21, beginning with the "Shema." This verse declares our belief that God is one and commands us to teach the precepts of Judaism to our children.
This Mezuzah has an open back, not enclosed.
Note: The parchment scroll contained in this item is non kosher. It is printed, not handwritten. Also the instructions to roll the scroll states to roll the scroll so that the 3 Hebrew letters Shin, Dalet, Yud, (Shaddai) appear on the outside. The scroll that comes with this item does not have these letters printed on the outside, the procedure is the same. Roll the scroll from left to right. When looking at the scroll the First Word, reading right to left, in the upper right corner, should be the Word Shema (Shin, Mem, Ayin). Also, no fastening hardware are included. Thank you
